AW57HS Series — NEMA 23 Hybrid Stepper Motor
The AW57HS series is Apexwell's NEMA 23 (57mm) hybrid stepper motor line, offered across eight body lengths — the widest selection in our standard stepper platform. Holding torque scales from 0.55 N·m to 2.5 N·m, and the series is available in either 4-wire (bipolar) or 6-wire (unipolar/bipolar) configurations to match your driver.

Typical Applications
With eight body lengths covering a 4.5x torque range, the AW57HS series fits CNC routers and mills, industrial X-Y positioning stages, packaging equipment indexing, and robotics joints where NEMA 23 provides the torque headroom that NEMA 17 can't, without moving up to a NEMA 34 frame.
Why Choose the AW57HS Series
Eight body lengths on one NEMA 23 mounting interface give unusually fine control over torque selection, and 4-wire/6-wire flexibility means it drops into designs built around either driver type without a different motor SKU. For applications where occasional step loss under load is a concern, see our article on why closed loop stepper motors are replacing traditional steppers — or go straight to our AW57HS closed loop series, which shares this same motor platform with encoder feedback built in.
We can customize the electrical parameters of the motor and geometric dimensions such as the motor output shaft size according to customer requirements. Accessories including pulleys, eccentric gearboxes, planetary gearboxes and encoders can also be added.
