AW57HS Series — NEMA 23 Closed Loop Hybrid Stepper Motor

The AW57HS series is Apexwell's NEMA 23 (57mm) closed loop hybrid stepper motor line, offered across eight body lengths — the widest selection in our closed loop stepper platform. Holding torque scales from 0.55 N·m to 2.5 N·m, covering the full range from light CNC axes to heavier industrial positioning tasks on a single, widely-supported NEMA 23 mounting footprint.

Closed Loop Feedback

Every AW57HS motor integrates a selectable-resolution encoder (500–2000 PPR) as standard. As covered in our article on why closed loop stepper motors are replacing traditional steppers, NEMA 23 is a frame size where the torque and load variability make closed loop feedback particularly valuable — at 1.5 N·m and above, an undetected stall is far more costly than at smaller frame sizes.

With eight body lengths covering a 4.5x torque range, the AW57HS series fits CNC routers and mills, industrial X-Y positioning stages, packaging equipment indexing, and robotics joints where NEMA 23 provides the torque headroom that NEMA 17 can't, without moving up to a NEMA 34 frame.
