AW86HS Series — NEMA 34 Stepper Motor with Eccentric Gearbox

The AW86HS series pairs Apexwell's NEMA 34 (86mm), 1.8° hybrid stepper motor with a 5GN-K eccentric gearbox, scaling motor holding torque from 2.7 N·m to 11.0 N·m across six body lengths. With 24 available reduction ratios from 3:1 to 500:1 and up to 98.5 N·m of maximum permissible output torque, this series puts Apexwell's largest stepper motor frame on the same 5GN-K gearbox platform used by the AW86BLF and AW86BLW BLDC eccentric-gearmotor lines.

Wiring

Each AW86HS motor is available in either 4-wire (bipolar) or 6-wire (center-tap) configuration, so it can drop into either a bipolar or unipolar driver setup without a different motor SKU.

Max torque moment plateaus at 98.5 N·m from ratio 60:1 upward — identical to the 5GN-K gearbox used on Apexwell's AW86BLF/AW86BLW BLDC eccentric-gearmotor lines.

With 24 reduction ratios and gearbox torque up to 98.5 N·m, the AW86HS eccentric-gearmotor series fits heavy-duty conveyor drives, industrial gate and valve actuators, large indexing tables, and packaging and palletizing equipment where open-loop stepper control is sufficient and the widest possible ratio selection matters more than closed-loop feedback.

Why Choose the AW86HS Eccentric Gearmotor

The 24-ratio range on a single 5GN-K gearbox platform lets one motor selection be tuned across a very wide speed/torque window without redesigning the mechanical interface, and the 4-wire/6-wire choice lets it match either driver type. Because the gearbox platform is shared with Apexwell's BLDC eccentric-gearmotor lines, a design can move between stepper and BLDC drive without changing gearbox dimensions or ratio options. Custom shaft configurations and encoder feedback are available on request.
