AW60HS Series — 60mm Stepper Motor with Planetary Gearbox
The AW60HS series pairs Apexwell's NEMA 24 (60mm), 1.8° hybrid stepper motor with an M56GXR planetary gearbox, offering motor holding torque from 1.25 N·m to 2.8 N·m and rated output torque up to 20 N·m after reduction. Sharing the same M56GXR gearbox platform as the AW57HS, this series uses a higher-torque motor stack in a 60mm frame, for applications that need the AW57HS's gearbox torque range paired with a higher motor holding torque before reduction.

Momentary torque moment is rated at three times the rated allowable load across all four stages. 12 reduction ratios are available (3.6 to 326:1); because the AW60HS uses the same M56GXR gearbox as the AW57HS, rated output torque tops out at the same 20 N·m, with the difference between the two series coming from motor holding torque and current rating ahead of the gearbox.
Typical Applications
With motor holding torque up to 2.8 N·m and gearbox output torque up to 20 N·m, the AW60HS series fits industrial CNC axes, heavier robotic base joints, conveyor and indexing drives, and other applications where the AW57HS's torque range fits the gearbox requirement but the driving application calls for a higher-current, higher-holding-torque motor stack.
Why Choose the AW60HS Gearmotor
Twelve reduction ratios across four gear-train stages let one motor selection be tuned across a wide speed/torque window without changing the mounting footprint. The ball-bearing output stage raises radial and axial load capacity well beyond what the bare motor shaft alone can support — up to 20 kgf radial and 12 kgf axial — while backlash stays within 3° at no load for repeatable positioning. Because the gearbox is factory-fitted and tested as a complete unit, output shaft alignment and gear mesh are verified before the motor ships. For applications where the AW57HS's motor torque is sufficient, that series offers the same gearbox platform in a smaller frame. Custom shaft configurations and encoder feedback are available on request.
We can customize the electrical parameters of the motor and geometric dimensions such as the motor output shaft size according to customer requirements. Accessories including pulleys, eccentric gearboxes, planetary gearboxes and encoders can also be added.
