AW57HS Series — 57mm Stepper Motor with Precision Planetary Gearbox
The AW57HS series pairs Apexwell's NEMA 23 (57mm), 1.8° hybrid stepper motor with an HPS60 precision planetary gearbox, offering motor holding torque from 0.55 N·m to 2.5 N·m and rated output torque up to 32 N·m after reduction. With two available gear-train stages and reduction ratios from 3:1 to 100:1, backlash is held to ≤15 arcmin at no load, positioning this series above the AW42HS precision gearmotor for industrial-duty precision positioning. The HPS60 gearbox is shared with Apexwell's AW60HS precision series, so output torque and reduction ratios are identical across both motor platforms.

Momentary torque moment is rated at two times the rated allowable load across both stages. 15 reduction ratios are available in total (3 to 100:1), with rated output torque up to 32 N·m at the mid-range 2-stage ratios.
Typical Applications
With backlash held to ≤15 arcmin and output torque up to 32 N·m, the AW57HS precision series fits industrial robotic joints, precision CNC and index tables, semiconductor and electronics production equipment, and other heavier positioning tasks where NEMA 23 offers more torque headroom than the AW42HS precision line but a full servo motor system isn't required.
